Off Duty Notary

Basil Preuveneers was appointed as a Notary Public by Royal Authority in 1983. 

After qualifying as a solicitor in the 1970’s, Basil worked as an in-house solicitor for British Gas focusing on the acquisition and disposal of commercial land and premises.   He went on to set up his own firm as a sole practitioner. The firm converted to a LLP and he sold his shares in 2009.  Basil now works only as a Notary Public.

Basil is the Law Society Council member for the constituency of Bromley and north Kent.

Basil is a talented musician; he regularly plays the piano at charity functions and parties. He is a member of Crystal Palace Band (plays cornet) and the Phoenix Concert Band (plays trumpet).  He is member of the Guild of Freemen of the City of London.
