For your pet to travel to the UK without the need for quarantine, insure they have the correct identification documents, vaccinations and treatments. Changes to the pet travel scheme came into effect on 29 December 2014, with a new pet travel Regulation.

If your pets are traveling abroad outside of Europe on a permanent basis they require the legalisation of various DEFRA/APHA documents.

Some of the countries may require that the animal is shipped within 3 days of the Veterinary Officer signing off the Export Health Certificate.
